Problem Statement

Ardor is designed for people who need helps and or willing to help others,  as a safe, trust-worthy platform.

When people want to finish some easy tasks, such as changing bulbs, fixing chairs and so on, they often need to hire a professional contractor to help them. It costs not only money but also time, and energy. People take a half day off and waiting at home. However, the task can be finished in 15 mins. On the other hand, when people want to help others, they need to join volunteer organizations and sign up for future events. An efficient communication platform is necessary.

Design Scope & Assumptions

The scope of this project is a website with two user flows. It's a seven weeks project. Helping result page and help summary page will be the focus pages. Users also can share their helping achievement via social media.

Users need to trust others, as well as provide safety warranty by themselves. Once the helping side finished the task, the required users will give feedback, and share their thoughts. People who help others need to know details about this help request, such as date, time, location, task, risk, and so on.

Persona & Scenario

Damon just moved to Melbourne; he finds that his chairs are broken. He wants to fix them, but he doesn't have tools on hand.

Damon searches online; it shows to fix one chair will cost him a lot. He thinks if someone can help him to repair it as a favor, it would be great! He searched online, but he can't find any volunteer groups that offering this kind of help. He notices that volunteer groups hold events monthly with a large group of members.

"Why don't we have a helping platform do small things like a volunteer organization?" he thinks.  His friend Charles recommended Ardor to him, and Damon finds a person that can help his to fix these chairs, and the person lives a few blocks away from his location. They became friends after it.

Why people can't finish requests by themselves? Users need more background stories to encourage them to give a hand.
